Deb Nothstein spent much of her adult life supporting those in need, especially children. After her sudden passing in 2010, her coworkers, friends, and family created the Mrs. Nothstein’s Helping Hands Fund. Through this fund, her love and support for others less fortunate would continue. Proceeds from the Homemade Holiday Sale support the fund, which has distributed over $60,000 in aid over the past 10 years.
Over the years generous financial contributions have funded a wide variety of support for children and their families. Donated items have ranged from school supplies, to holiday gifts, to covering rent and utility bills, and vehicles. Each family’s need are assessed and we are happy to provide support to get them through their difficult time.
Deb was a wife, mother, daughter, and community member dedicated to volunteering her time. She was very active in her local parish, St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Sheckler Home and School Committee, Catasauqua Area Showcase Community Theatre and much more. Deb dedicated so much of her time supporting her husband Bill and two children Gregory and Bethany in all their activities. Her selfless acts were daily occurrences and we are so happy to be able to carry on with the example she set for all of us.
