Events

We are thrilled to announce that we will be holding our annual Homemade Holiday Craft & Food Sale again this year! The event will take place November 10th and 11th from 9am-8pm and November 12th from 9am-2pm. Once again the event will be taking place at St. John Fisher Church in Catasauqua. We hope to see you there!

A small sampling of the type of wonderful handcrafted items available for sale at our annual Homemade Holiday Craft & Food sales.

Each year with the help of our incredible volunteers and exceptionally talented crafters and bakers the Mrs. Nothstein’s Helping Hands Fund puts on a Homemade Holiday Craft & Food Sale. These events are held in early November giving customers ample opportunity to shop for holiday gifts and snacks before the Thanksgiving rush is upon us. Our sales are held in the social hall of the St. John Fisher Church with food available for carry out from the kitchen.

Our craft items are set up by department as opposed to vendor to give customers the most seamless shopping experience. Over the past 11 years our sale has featured ornaments, floral arrangements, wreaths, table cloths/runners, bags, winter wear, candles, hand painted items, holiday decor, signs, stained glass, jewelry, baby/children items, preserved fruits/vegetables/spreads, cards, artwork, and much more. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of craft items is donated to the fund.

Almost as popular as our unique handmade crafts, is the delicious food menu at the annual event. Bakers from around the area donate baked goods which are a 100% profit for the fund. In addition to these sweet treats our carry out menu typically includes pierogies frozen by the dozen, bread filling, chicken corn chowder, chicken pot pie, halupki, halushki, apple dumplings, kiffles, cut out cookies by the pound and more!

The vital funds necessary to enable us to support children and their families in need in the community are raised at this annual event. In a typical year the Homemade Holiday Craft & Food Sale is our only source of revenue, outside of personal donations, so a massive amount of work is put in to ensure its success. If you would like to become involved with these events as a volunteer, crafter, or just want to stay in the know about upcoming sales please sign up to join our mailing list.

2020 Homemade Holiday Sale Cancelation

We do so with a very heavy heart, but we are looking forward to next year’s event which we hope will be bigger and better than ever! Please keep in touch by signing up…
